Friends and I were looking for an authentic place for a meal in Merthyr and a few searches turned up this restaurant. What a find! Lovely quaint restaurant in centre of the town serving delicious home cooked food. Don't be put off by the initial look of the restaurant which is quite rustic. We chose the chicken skewers, Cod A La Brás and Pork escalope. All were very tasty, especially the skewers and served with homemade chips and generous salad. The chef was very friendly and very passionate about her place of origin in Portugal. You really have to give this place a try if you are in the area.

Amazing, authentic Portuguese dishes, made fresh. Real fries, not from frozen! You have to taste them. Nothing like the frozen ones! Friendly staff, we were well looked after. Coffee was outstanding too.

This place is so full of love. We took our chance on a quiet bank holiday evening when not much else were open. The food here is delicious, very much homemade-kind rather than any chain-made standard food. The owner/chef and waitresses are very friendly and will make sure you are well served. Their coffee and desserts are delicious too. Would love to come back again, even on a busier occasion! 🌟

Wow! This place is amazing. We were greeted warmly by our waitress and were able to find only one available seat (it was busy). We had complimentary bread and olives before our meal. Hands down the best chicken kabob I've ever had. What also makes this restaurant stand out is the staff. The chef, Fernando, greeted the patrons and just made you feel right at home. Also, there was lovely live music. Cheers from California! 🍻
